At Southside Church of Christ, we are committed to:
Showing God’s way of salvation: This statement affirms that we are devoted to the Bible as the only source of information we have for how a person comes to salvation. We do not follow any manmade creeds or edicts in our decisions concerning matters of faith. Instead, we proclaim what the Bible states to be God’s plan. We are also an evangelistic congregation, interested in reaching the lost and for Jesus Christ.
Sharing God’s love in the Spirit: When you visit Southside we are sure you will notice immediately the love we share with one another and those who visit our church family. We speak about family often, because that is what we truly are. We share in one another’s lives and help one another whenever a need arises. Jesus said of His disciples that they would be known by their love. We seek to display genuine love to those around us.
Shaping God’s people by study: The Bible is our guide to Christian living and we strive to teach and preach the truth of God’s word. We encourage our members to study the Bible at home, and we reinforce that personal Bible study with Bible classes, devotionals, youth rallies and other Bible-centered activities. We believe that personal study helps Christians develop and mature into the spiritual leaders God desires them to be.
