At Southside we strive to offer worship to God that is heartfelt, and therefore enthusiastic and uplifting. We try to offer excellence to God, who is the only audience of our worship services. During a worship service, we offer up prayers to God and sing songs of praise. You will not find musical instruments in our assemblies, because we believe in offering to God the music of our lips and hearts only.
Each Sunday, all of our saved believers share in the Lord’s Supper, commemorating the death and resurrection of our Lord until He comes again. In this ceremony we share in the body and the blood of our Lord, and we remember our salvation and the price He paid to purchase us from our sins. The Lord’s Supper, or communion, is the central event of our meeting together each week.
We also have a message preached from God’s Word each worship service. We believe the Word needs to be an important part of each of our assemblies. It is through God’s word that we grow in our faith. In addition to these things, we have Bible classes, fellowship, joy, celebration, revival and edification to help us all live faithfully for Jesus every day of our lives. We do our best to uplift each worshipper each service so that we can all joyfully serve our Savior.
