Southside Youth Group –
At Southside, we intend to give our young people a strong Christian environment. We believe it is the role of the parent to raise their child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). We add to that by gving them continued lessons and foundations from God's word to further strengthen them in their walk with Jesus Christ. Our aim is to provide a focused study of God's instruction in the Bible. We do this by in-depth discussion on common issues facing young people today; such as peer-pressure, relationships, drugs, drinking, partying, etc. We feel that with a zoned-in approach on the moral and ethical principles from the Bible, we will be able to help young people's lives stand firm on God and their relationship with His Son. Through we cannot eliminate the problem that pop culture and society is impressing on the minds of uor youth, we can certainly equip them to be ready and willing to stand for Jesus and what is right. The overall goal for our youth is to give them the strength and unity to share the wonderful message of Jesus with the word and fulfill the great commission! We feel that it's never too early for young people to learn to be an example to the lost or to believers. "Let no man look down on you for being young, but rather in speech, condutc, love, faith, and purity, be an example of those that believe (1 Timothy 4:12)."
